For those who miss their regularly scheduled class because of illness or injury, make up classes are available in the ballet level above or below.  Credit will not be given.  If class is canceled for any reason, make up classes will be offered at another scheduled time.  Classes that meet on Mondays will meet on holidays (i.e. Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, etc.) and on half days.  Studio 121 will be closed when Freeport School District 145 closes for inclement weather.

 

 

TEACHERS

Sarah Long will graduate with a BFA in Dance from NIU in May 2008.  During Session 1, she will teach Ballet IV on Wednesdays, Ballet I, Pre-Ballet, and Intermediate Modern.  During Session 2 and 3, she will teach all levels of dance.

 

Jill Johnson holds a BFA in Dance from Juilliard and an MFA in Dance from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  During Session 1, she will teach Ballet IV on Mondays, Ballet II and III, and Beginning Modern.

 

Julie Smith – Vocation = Chiropractor for FHN; Avocation = dancer and teacher

 

 

TUITION 

$8.50 per/class for all classes

 

 

DRESS CODE

Ballet (all levels)    – Black leotard (any style), pink tights, black chiffon skirt (optional)

Modern (all levels) – Black leotard, black or pink footless tights, bare feet

Hair                     -off face and neck, secured in bun or ponytail

Slippers                 -pink, leather or canvas
